Using SimpleGoals

SimpleGoals is a personal goal-accountability service delivered by text message. You are responsible for the information and messages you submit and for using the service lawfully.

The SimpleGoals text message program

SimpleGoals sends daily reminder messages to help you keep your goals. You can sign up in one of two ways: text START to the dedicated SimpleGoals number, or sign up at simplegoals.net.

After signup you choose a goal message, a reminder time, and a timezone. Signing up on the website requires verifying your phone number with a one-time code sent by SMS. At your chosen reminder time we send a text containing your goal and asking you to reply Y (yes) or N (no) at check-in to confirm whether you achieved it. Your replies are recorded as daily results. Message frequency is user-configurable and starts at no more than 5 messages per day, plus replies during setup. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply HELP at any time for help. The HELP response directs you to the SimpleGoals website and explains how to unsubscribe or delete your account.

Reply UNSUBSCRIBE or STOP to stop all text messages. We will not send further messages until you reply START to resume.

Reply END to delete your account. We will first ask you to confirm by replying END again. Once confirmed, your account and associated data are permanently deleted.

Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service, but access may be interrupted for maintenance, outages, or circumstances outside our control. The service is provided as available.

Acceptable use

Do not use SimpleGoals to harass others, send unlawful content, interfere with the service, or attempt to access another person's account.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
